Inconspicuous photovoltaic system
22.5 kWp PV system in Cologne-Weidenpesch

‘This system shows that climate protection doesn’t always have to be visible to be effective. It makes a hidden and efficient contribution to the energy transition.’

We have installed a 22.5 kWp east-west photovoltaic system on the flat roof of a church in Cologne-Weidenpesch.

The system utilises a substructure from Ernst Schweizer that is specially designed for flat roofs. The east-west orientation ensures optimum electricity production throughout the day.

This project is an example of sustainable urban development behind the scenes – the system is invisible from the street and yet makes a significant contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions.
